MMR Game 3: Nevada Wolfpack at Texas A&M
AGGIES WIN!!
Being 2-0 and having a home game is good news for Texas A&M this week. Last week , while A&M rolled over Ball State, Arkansas laid an egg against Toledo and Auburn damn near lost at home to Jacksonville State. That would be FCS Jacksonville State. I was stunned to see Arkansas lose their game, but I had a feeling that the Tigers were not as good as their lofty #6 ranking. Well they fell back to earth and are ranked right behind us now. I always said Auburn and A&M were about even, I may take that back now.
While Ball State ended up being what we expected, the good news about the game was that we were able to play very deep into our roster and give them valuable reps. And while I heard some naysayers giving some lip to the Aggies about letting Ball State score 23, the reality was that A&M still covered the spread and would have scored 100 if they left the first team in. All in all, a good win and great home opener.
NOW, HERE COME THE WOLFPACK!!!!
Okay, I have to try to hype this game up. On paper, this looks like a similar match up. A&M is favored by 34, a few more points that the line against Ball State. Nevada does have the nephew of Junior Seau, DE Ian Seau, but to be frank this game is a repeat of last week.
Look for the Aggies to come out strong early, pull away by halftime and get their 2nd and 3rd teams good reps on the fiels. Sorry Nevada, unless Colin Kapernick decides to return for his 8th year of eligibility, this is all Aggies.
Where can we look for improvements? Look at the offensive line and the running game to get some more practice. This is a good time to shore up some loose ends before Arkansas next week.

Now that SEC conference play has begun, it’s time to keep an eye our fellow SEC West divison-mates to see what they’re up to. Two games rise to the top very quickly:
Auburn at LSU
Auburn isn’t faring well. They should have lost to Jacksonville State, and their passing game is not where it should be. LSU looks solid and came off a big road win in Starksville. Look for LSU to win big at home.
Auburn 13
LSU 39
Ole Miss at Alabama
By the looks of the first two games of the Ole Miss schedule, you would have thought you stumbled across their basketball schedule, but you didn’t. Over 70 points in both games, the Rebels look like the team to beat, and they should be. If it weren’t for a devastating injury towards the end of the 2014 season, Ole Miss could have won the SEC. They look poised to return to that level of play, if not exceed it. Alabama is Alabama, they reload their talent and just play you into the ground. However, this could be the year Ole Miss gets one up on the Crimson Tide. Look for an upset in Tuscalloosa.
Ole Miss 33
Alabama 29
By the way, anyone predict Steve Patterson would be out at texas in less than 2 years. Put your hand down ya’ damn liar! That was a bit of a shock, and while everyone here in Austin was calling for his head, I was shocked to see the trigger pulled so quickly. He must have really done some dumb $h!t. Oh well, back to the drawing board for the ‘horns.
